Reverse Mortgage Loan Officers Long Island, New York City and New Jersey Position Summary: Solicit referral sources to generate reverse mortgage loans maintaining relationships while acting as a liaison between referral sources, borrowers, the Bank and the community. Essential Responsibilities Originates reverse mortgage loans by developing and establishing contacts within the senior community. Originates reverse mortgages though marketing initiatives developed by the reverse mortgage team. Maintains a strong knowledge of reverse mortgage products and services and cross sells services to reverse mortgage clients. Works to establish and meet loan and cross sell referral sales goals in conjunction with departmental goals. Typical Job Duties Meets average monthly sales goals as assigned by Sales Manager. Interviews and educates prospective reverse mortgage loan applicants. Prepares loan applications, submits loans into process through a laptop computer and follows up on all loans in process. Maintains communication with all parties involved as to loan status. Assists department personnel in obtaining necessary documentation to commit and close loans. Performs other duties as required by management. Job Requirements This position requires a formal education through high school or equivalent; college degree a plus; along with a minimum of one year mortgage or outside sales experience. This position also requires knowledge of reverse mortgage loan programs and underwriting requirements and a self-motivated and results driven individual. This position also requires strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills and detail orientation. This position also requires proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of laptop loan submissions. This position requires a valid drivers license, a good driving history and access to a vehicle for use in the course of the job.
